The Talented
Mr. Ripley

Style

It's a modern-day classic—a 15-year-old film that still holds up today thanks to its scenic cinematography, well-orchestrated narrative tension and overall style. The Talented Mr. Ripley is one hell of a good looking movie. Nominated for five Academy Awards, including one for best costume design, the film is a sartorial masterpiece that effortlessly blends blue blood tailoring with the casual elegance of Italy's Amalfi Coast. If you haven't seen it in a while, Jude Law plays Dickie Greenleaf, the consummate playboy living off his trust fund who unwittingly takes Tom Ripley (played by Matt Damon) under his wing. If you, like Tom, want to cop some of Greenleaf's swagger, here are a few modern pieces with the same timeless vibes.
